Petrovac is little town with old fortress Kastel (built by Venetians in the 16th century), beautiful beaches, comfortable hotels and magnificent nature. It is situated in a valley 18 km far away from Budva, surrounded by hills entering into sea and separated from the sea by two sandy beaches.
Petrovac was built in Roman times and it is supposed nowadays that the town was one of the resting places on the Roman way up to the Adriatic coast. Only two Roman mosaics date from that time and they are placed in Miriste settlement. The oldest name for this settlement is Lastva; witch is mentioned for the first time in Pop Dukljanin chronicle. This settlement was built between the end of 18th and beginning of 19th century, and today it presents an attractive tourist place.
Lucice beach is 500 meters southward from Petrovac. It looks like a little bay, and it is 220 m long. This beach has also got sand on the lend and under the low leveled bottom going into the sea, and pine and oak forest at behind.
